The ultimate Everest crossing
This is the pinnacle Everest trek for those who want more. Over 24 extraordinary days, we venture deep into the Khumbu, linking the full circuit of the region’s three great high passes – Kongma La, Cho La, and Renjo La – each rising above 5,300m. Along the way, we summit two of the region’s most iconic viewpoints – Kala Patar and Gokyo Ri – stand beneath the imposing south face of Everest, and traverse some of the quietest, most remote trails in the Himalayas.
What makes this journey special is its scope. While most treks follow the main route to Base Camp and back, we break out beyond it – climbing over windswept saddles, traversing glacial valleys, and crossing into sacred alpine regions rarely visited by other groups. From the remote Upper Bhote Valley to the turquoise Gokyo Lakes, every step pushes deeper into the wild heart of the Everest region.
Activity Grade: HIGH
This is a challenging, high-altitude trek with extended days on foot and minimal rest. You’ll spend 18 days on the trail, covering 6–15km per day, often on steep, rocky, or snowy terrain. The three high passes involve sustained steep hiking and descents, and demand a strong base of endurance, resilience, and commitment. No technical climbing gear or mountaineering skills are required, however, the physical and mental load is higher than on standard EBC routes.
You’ll trek for up to 11 hours on the longest days, carrying a light daypack. Rest and acclimatisation days are built in to ensure you perform well, even at the treks highest point of 5,550m. Each night is spent in traditional teahouses – warm, modest lodges that offer welcomed comforts and great camaraderie. While facilities are simple in the mountains, the journey is elevated with premium touches, including 5-star hotels in Kathmandu, private helicopter flights, and comfortable road transport. This is a physically demanding adventure, not a technical one, and with a deliberate focus on the right preparation, it’s a highly achievable and incredibly rewarding journey. If you’re seeking a true test – and the most complete trekking circuit in the Everest region – this is your adventure.
